HarBAR on 6th, Southampton
The rooftop bar at the Harbour Hotel looks over the Ocean Village marina. A drink up there feels like a night out, not a nervous first meet.
South coast swingers
Two port cities, 20 miles of M27 between them, and couples and singles ready to close the gap.
More than 150 Find Swingers members live in Hampshire. More than 40 are in Southampton, Portsmouth has members of its own, and Basingstoke, Andover and the north of the county add more.
Southampton and Portsmouth sit about 20 miles apart along the M27, close enough to treat as one scene. Live between them and you have both on your doorstep.
Shares of our members across Hampshire, singles and couples together, from our member records.
A third of Hampshire members are 55 or over, the highest share of any place on our swingers UK list, against 23% nationally. The 35 to 44 and 45 to 54 bands are almost level, at 24% and 23%, and more than one in five is under 35, so the middle years and the younger crowd are well covered too.
Hampshire's towns sit close together, and the roads are made for meeting halfway.
| Trip | Distance | Road |

Where to go
For a first drink, Hampshire has smart options on the coast and inland. For a club night, head west into Dorset.
The rooftop bar at the Harbour Hotel looks over the Ocean Village marina. A drink up there feels like a night out, not a nervous first meet.
The bar at Hotel du Vin on Southgate Street suits a quieter evening, and Winchester makes a handy halfway point between the coast and north Hampshire.
The nearest club we can point you to is Bournemouth Swingers Club on Commercial Road, just over the Dorset border, with a weekly midweek social. Check its own site for current nights before you make the trip.
The M27 starts at the edge of the New Forest National Park. Once you know each other, a country hotel there makes a discreet base for a night away.
A plan that fits a county of two cities and a lot of countryside:
Read swinger etiquette before you meet, and our safety page for blocking and reporting. Couples who want to swap can start with meeting swinging couples.
Not far. Bournemouth Swingers Club on Commercial Road, just over the Dorset border, holds a weekly midweek social as well as party nights; check its own site for current nights. For anything closer, you'll need an invitation to a private party, which is where an active, verified profile helps.
Both. The two cities are about 20 miles apart along the M27, so a 20-mile search from either covers the other, and everyone living between them. More than 40 members are in Southampton, Portsmouth has its own group, and Winchester is only 14 miles from Southampton.
Yes. Members live in Basingstoke, Andover, Farnborough and Aldershot as well as on the coast. Basingstoke is 48 miles from London and part of the commuter belt, so a meet can be just as easy in town as down the M3 in Winchester.
No. Couples, single women and single men all join, and your profile says who you'd like to meet. Some couples are after a third; if that's you, show them you've read their profile, respect their rules and offer a drink first.
