On-premises clubs
Play can happen on site, in private rooms or shared spaces away from the bar. Expect lockers, a dress code and house rules posted on the wall. Most are clear about what is allowed where.
Swingers clubs
Meet the couples and singles who go to clubs near you, chat before the night and arrive with friends instead of nerves.
A swingers club is a members-only venue where couples and singles go to flirt, dance and, if everyone agrees, play. You usually register first, show ID at the door and pay an entry fee on the night. Nobody has to do anything they don't want to, and plenty of first visits end at the bar.
That last part surprises people. A good club is a social night first: drinks, music, people in their best outfits, and a lot of conversation. The play areas are there for those who want them, behind a door you choose to walk through. Walking through it with a couple you already like is a very different night from walking in cold, which is where Find Swingers comes in.
Know your club
Before you pick a night, check which kind of venue it is. The name on the door tells you very little.

A bar or event where swingers meet, flirt and swap numbers, but nothing goes further on site. If you like someone, you take it somewhere private later. A gentle first step for nervous couples.
Some organisers hire a venue or a hotel for one night with a guest list and their own rules. Our page on swingers parties explains how those work and how to get on a list.
Every club sets its own rules, but the route in tends to look the same. Do it in this order and the night takes care of itself.
Look for a couples' night, a newcomers' night or a quieter midweek evening. Big Saturday parties are great once you know the place, overwhelming before.
Dress code, door policy for singles, phones, drink and how to say no. If a club doesn't publish its rules, ask before you book.
Most clubs want you signed up in advance and photo ID at the door. Use the name on your ID, not your profile name.
Talk it through at home, not in the corridor. Decide what is fine, what is not and what your signal is for "time to go".
Arrange to meet a couple or single you've chatted to on Find Swingers. A familiar face at the bar takes the edge off the first hour.
Arrive early, while it's quiet, and ask for a tour: staff are used to first-timers and happy to show you round. Get a drink, sit somewhere you can watch the room and let people come over. A smile and a "first time here" opens more conversations than any line.
If someone asks you to play and you don't want to, a polite "not tonight, thanks" is all it takes, and a decent club backs you up. Ask before you touch anyone, every time. Leave when you want to, even if the night has hardly started. Our guide to swinger etiquette covers the unwritten rules in full.
Couples are welcome at almost every swingers club. Single women usually are too, and some clubs charge them a lower entry price than couples pay, to keep the room balanced.
Single men have it harder. Many clubs cap the number of single men, keep them to certain nights or only let them in with a couple who invited them. That's not a snub: it's how a club keeps the room comfortable for everyone. The best way in for a single man is to be the guest a couple asked for, which means meeting them first. On Find Swingers you can say exactly that on your profile.
If you're a couple looking for a third to bring along, our guide on how to find a third walks through it, and our page on meeting swinging couples covers couples who want to swap.
Clubs are for the night itself. Find Swingers is for everything before it: finding people you'd like to see there, checking you get on and making a plan.
Want local detail? Our places pages cover the cities and counties where our members live, and our safety page explains how we keep fakes out.
Pick a club, read its house rules and register, usually online before your first visit. Bring photo ID on the night and expect to pay at the door. A couples' or newcomers' night is the easiest first visit.
No. You can spend the whole night at the bar and on the dance floor. Play is only ever by agreement, and "no" ends the conversation.
Sometimes. Many clubs limit single men or keep them to set nights, and some admit them only with a couple who invited them. Check the club's door policy, and meet couples online first if you want an invitation.
Whatever the club's dress code says, which on most nights means smart and sexy rather than casual. Theme nights have their own codes. When in doubt, dress up: it is easier to take a layer off than to wish you had one.
Ask the swingers who already go. Join Find Swingers, search by distance and look for members who list clubs among their interests: they know which venues near you are worth the trip, and which night suits a first visit.
Meet a couple you like online, then see them at the bar.
