A drink before anything else
First meets happen in a pub, a hotel bar or over a meal. Our guide to your first swinger meet covers what to agree before you go.
Swingers in Australia
Five capital cities, one relaxed crowd: meet Australian swingers who know what they like and say so.
Find Swingers has more than 950 members in Australia, and more than a third of them are couples. Nearly all of them live in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
Australia's scene is grown-up and unhurried. Our members here are older than the site as a whole, couples make up a bigger share than in any other country where we have members in numbers, and the distances between cities mean a local search does most of the work.
That suits a site like ours. You can see who is in your city, chat for as long as you need and meet when it feels right, without anyone at work or next door any the wiser.
New South Wales is our biggest Australian state, and Sydney holds more than 100 members on its own.
Victoria's swingers, where couples make up nearly four in ten members.
Queensland's members from Brisbane down to the Gold Coast, with the oldest age mix of the five.
Western Australia's swingers, a long way from the other capitals and a scene of their own.
South Australia's smaller scene, where most members are 45 or over.
Members also live in Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong, Townsville and Tasmania, in smaller numbers. Wherever you are in Australia, search by distance and set how far you'll drive.

More than a third are 55 or over and only about one in eight is under 35. If you're a couple in your forties or fifties, you'll find plenty of people at the same stage; if you're younger, say so up front and look for the couples who list a wide age range.
| State | Share | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| New South Wales | More than a third | Our biggest state: Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong |
| Victoria | About one in five | Melbourne, with a high share of couples |
| Queensland | About one in five | Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Townsville |
| Western Australia | About one in ten | Perth and its suburbs |
| South Australia | About one in thirteen | Adelaide |
The Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania each have a handful of members, so set a wider search distance if you live there.
The Australian way
Australian swingers are relaxed about plenty, but not about manners, health or privacy.
First meets happen in a pub, a hotel bar or over a meal. Our guide to your first swinger meet covers what to agree before you go.
Going by healthdirect's guidance, a Medicare card should cover STI testing at your GP or a sexual health clinic. Regular checks are part of playing well.
The big cities have on-premises venues and private party nights. Read how swingers clubs and swingers parties work before you book.
On Find Swingers, mostly in the five state capitals: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, with New South Wales the biggest state by far. Smaller groups live in Canberra, regional New South Wales and Queensland, and Tasmania.
Couples are more than a third of our Australian members, a bigger share than in the UK or the USA. Sydney and Melbourne have the most couples of the Australian cities.
Yes. Members live on the Gold Coast and in Townsville as well as in Brisbane. Set your search distance to cover the drive you're happy to make and you'll see who is in range.
Laws are set by each state, and they concern public places: Queensland's Criminal Code, for example, makes an indecent act in a public place an offence. Keep play private and follow a venue's own rules.
