Gateshead
Just across the Tyne from the Quayside, so a drink on either bank is a short walk over a bridge for both of you.
Tyne and Wear
From the Quayside to Sunderland, meet couples and singles who know how to make a night of it.
Across Tyne and Wear, more than 120 Find Swingers members are ready to meet, more than 40 of them in Newcastle upon Tyne. Gateshead, Sunderland, South Shields, Wallsend and Jarrow all have members too: couples and singles who'd rather share a laugh at the bar than trade small talk for a fortnight.
Newcastle is famous for a friendly night out, and that's a gift for swingers. A first meet should feel exactly like that: warm, direct and done before anyone's had one too many. Our UK swingers page has the rest of the country.
The Quayside and the Bigg Market are the classic nights out, and with two universities of around 28,000 students each, town is rarely short of a crowd. For swingers, that's useful: in a busy bar, two couples can size each other up without a soul noticing.
For something sharper, Grey Street's cocktail bars, Barluga and The Muddler among them, and Pleased To Meet You in Grainger Town make a better first meet than a heaving pub.

Tyne and Wear is the only place on our UK list where the 45 to 54s lead, at 31%. It's a grown-up crowd but far from a sleepy one: nearly half of members are under 45.
Getting about
Tyne and Wear runs on the Metro. The Green Line goes from the airport through the city centre and Gateshead to Sunderland, with trains every six to ten minutes.
Just across the Tyne from the Quayside, so a drink on either bank is a short walk over a bridge for both of you.
About 10 miles south-east and on the Metro, so nobody has to drive to the meet or home from it.
Durham, about 18 miles south, has members of its own, and the A1(M) and the A19 through the Tyne Tunnel bring in anyone from further out.
For club nights and private parties, the people to ask are the members who already go: which night is on, which one suits a first visit and who'd like company. Read our swingers clubs guide before your first night out.
Start on Grey Street or in Grainger Town. Barluga and The Muddler on Grey Street and Pleased To Meet You in Grainger Town suit a first drink, and the Quayside is right there for a walk afterwards. Keep it to a round or two and leave the rest until everyone's sure.
Yes. Both have members of their own, as do South Shields and Wallsend, on top of more than 40 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Gateshead is just across the river and Sunderland about 10 miles away on the Metro, so meeting in town suits everyone.
A little older than the UK as a whole. The 45 to 54s lead our Tyne and Wear members at 31%, the 35 to 44s come next at 28%, and nearly half are under 45, so whatever your age there are couples and singles at your stage.
Through people they've already met. Private parties go by word of mouth, and a host will want to see your face over a drink before your name goes on the list. Chat to members nearby, meet a few, and let a good first impression travel. Our swingers parties page covers what hosts look for.
