Merseyside and the Wirral

Swingers in Liverpool: A Younger Crowd, Up for It

Couples and singles on both banks of the Mersey. Say hello tonight and share a drink by the docks this week.

Merseyside's crowd is younger than most

Merseyside has more than 130 Find Swingers members, over 100 of them in Liverpool itself, and more than 20 are couples. Close to six in ten are under 45, which makes this one of the youngest-leaning crowds on our UK swingers pages.

Members aged 35 to 4437%
Members aged 45 to 5423%
Members aged 55 or over18%

Shares of our members across Merseyside, singles and couples together, from our member records.

The 35 to 44s lead at 37%, over a fifth are under 35 and just 18% are 55 or over. Tired of being the youngest couple in the room? On Merseyside, you probably won't be.

Dockside drinks and Baltic Triangle nights

The waterfront makes a first meet easy. From the Pier Head to the Albert Dock there's enough going on that two couples sharing a table draw no attention at all, and Bar Glue, in Anchor Courtyard on the Albert Dock, is a smart place to start.

Want more edge? Head for the Baltic Triangle or the Ropewalks. Slowpour, in the basement under Ropes & Twines on Wood Street, and Sister Ray on Wolstenholme Square suit a couple who like a dark corner and a serious cocktail. For something calmer, the Georgian Quarter around Hope Street does the job.

Both banks of the Mersey

Merseyrail, the ferry and a club on the Wirral

You can cross Merseyside in an evening, which matters when one couple lives in Southport and the other in Birkenhead.

Over the water

Birkenhead faces the city across the river, about 10 minutes by ferry or a short hop on Merseyrail's Wirral Line, which also runs to Chester and West Kirby. Townhouse, a swing, kink and LGBTQ+ club on Union Street in Birkenhead, posts its programme online: check its own site for current nights.

Up the coast

Southport is about 17 miles north on Merseyrail's Northern Line, so the city centre works as a meeting point for both ends of the line.

Into town, or out of it

Lime Street, Liverpool Central, Moorfields and James Street put the centre a short walk away, and the M62, M53, M57 and M58 bring drivers in. Manchester is about an hour by train, and our page on swingers in Manchester covers the scene there.

Meeting Liverpool swingers, step by step

From a first hello to a table for four, this is the order that works.

  1. Say Wirral or city

Your nearest town is all other members see, so you can be honest about where you are without giving away your street.

  2. Filter for your kind of fun

VIP search lets you pick a city and a radius, then narrow by how experienced people are and what they're into, so soft swap couples and full swap couples find each other quickly.

  3. Check the profile before the pint

A verified badge and a healthy community rating tell you a couple is genuine and has treated other members well.

  4. Keep the first one to a drink

Pick a bar near Lime Street or James Street so nobody needs to drive, and save the rest for when all of you want more.

A city built for a night out

Liverpool was the fifth most visited UK city for overseas tourists in 2022, and Concert Square, Seel Street and Mathew Street are where the crowds go. That's perfect cover. Nobody gives two couples laughing over a bottle a second glance, and where the night goes next is up to the four of you.

Find Merseyside swingers

Liverpool swinging, asked and answered

Where's the nearest swingers club to Liverpool?

Townhouse in Birkenhead, on the Wirral side of the Mersey, runs swing, kink and LGBTQ+ nights. It's about 10 minutes from the city by ferry, or a few stops on Merseyrail's Wirral Line. Its programme moves around, so read the listings online before you cross the river, ideally with a couple you've got to know first.

Are Liverpool swingers younger than the UK average?

Yes, a little. Close to six in ten of our Merseyside members are under 45, against just over half across the UK. The leading group is 35 to 44, at 37%, and only 18% are 55 or over, so thirty-something couples and singles won't feel like the kids in the room.

Can couples find other couples in Liverpool?

Yes. More than 20 of our Merseyside members are couples, alongside singles. Say on your profile if you're after a soft swap with another pair, full swap or a third, then use the filters to find people who want the same. There's more on couple-to-couple play on our swinging couples page.
